ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,352,758, issued on July 8, was assigned to CORNELL UNIVERSITY (Ithaca, N.Y.).
"Quantitative biomarkers of EHV-1 susceptibility and protection" was invented by Bettina Wagner (Ithaca, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed to novel biomarkers useful for staging EHV-1 infections and immunity status of horses. This disclosure is further directed to methods of determining EHV-1 infection stage and immunity status of horses using the novel biomarkers."
The patent was filed on Feb. 26, 2019, under Application No. 16/975,589.
