ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,948, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to CORNELL UNIVERSITY (Ithaca, N.Y.).

"RNA-regulated fusion proteins and methods of their use" was invented by Samie R. Jaffrey (New York) and Jiahui Wu (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed to RNA-regulated fusion proteins comprising a protein of interest and an RNA-regulated destabilization domain. Also disclosed are RNA aptamers that bind specifically to a RNA-regulated destabilization domain. Nucleic acid molecules encoding the RNA-regulated fusion proteins and RNA aptamers and methods of use thereof are also disclosed."
