ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,468, issued on June 24, was assigned to Corbion Biotech Inc. (South San Francisco, Calif.).
"Sucrose invertase variants" was invented by Nien-Hsi Ko (South San Fransisco, Calif.), Janice Lau Wee (South San Fransisco, Calif.) and Douglas A. Hattendorf (South San Fransisco, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides sucrose invertase variants having an enhanced ability to hydrolyze sucrose into glucose and fructose and related methods and compositions."
The patent was filed on Nov. 19, 2020, under Application No. 17/777,711.
