ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,386,205, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to COOPERVISION INTERNATIONAL Ltd. (Fareham, Great Britain).

"Films having asymmetric grin optical elements for application to spectacles or other ophthalmic lenses" was invented by Paul Chamberlain (Livermore, Calif.), Sourav Saha (Pleasanton, Calif.) and Arthur Bradley (Bloomington, Ind.).
