US Patent Issued to CONVATEC on Feb. 18 for "Pre-lubricated female urinary catheter package" (Minnesota Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,226,587, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to CONVATEC INC. (Bridgewater, N.J.).

"Pre-lubricated female urinary catheter package" was invented by Tim Palmer (Stillwater, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rigid package or container for a sterile pre-lubricated, ready to use female-length catheter with enhanced gel holders and simple constructions. A main body of the rigid container has a hollow interior which may receive a gel holder defining an inner cavity filled with a lubricating gel.
