ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,119, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to CONV AUSTRALIA HOLDING PTY LTD (Sydney).
"Wear resistant composite" was invented by Oskar Larsson (Sydney) and Stefan Ederyd (Sydney).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composite body and a method for producing an integrally cast composite body, which includes at least two zones. A first zone is substantially formed of metal material, and, a second zone additionally includes a non-metallic reinforcing material, such as cement carbide. The composite body is particularly useful for producing products which have at least one wear resistant zone or surface."
