ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,478,566, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Conopco Inc. (Hoboken, N.J.).

"Color stable skin benefit compositions" was invented by Anjing Lou (Seymour, Conn.), Congling Quan (Woodbridge, Conn.), William Zavoluk (Milford, Conn.) and Teanoosh Moaddel (Watertown, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Nanoemulsions as emulsion additives are prepared to stabilize actives and prevent formulation discoloration. The nanoemulsions have at least 30% by weight oil and are suitable to add to emulsions and/or structured water to produce color stable end use skin benefit compositions."
