ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,417, issued on July 1, was assigned to Conopco Inc. (Hoboken, N.J.).
"Antiperspirant compositions" was invented by Simeon Dobrev Stoyanov (Spijkenisse, Netherlands), Philip Christopher Waterfield (Heswall, Great Britain) and Aneliya Nikolova Zdravkova (Liverpool, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An oil-in-water emulsion comprising a liquid C10-C22 fatty acid, an emulsifier and a water-soluble metal salt capable of forming a water-insoluble salt with the C10-C22 fatty acid at a pH of greater than 6 and thereby giving an antiperspirancy benefit on topical application to the skin."
