ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,397,588, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to COMPAGNIE GENERALE DES ETABLISSEMENTS MICHELIN (Clermont-Ferrand, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tire (1) for a vehicle comprises two sidewalls (3) and a crown (2) that is connected to the two sidewalls (3). The tire (1) comprises at least one insert (11, 12) which includes force detection means and which extends in a limited manner along one of the sidewalls (3) or the crown (2)."
