"Commissioning and decommissioning metadata nodes in a running distributed data storage system" was invented by Lasaro Camargos (Uberlandia, Brazil), Bharat Pundalik Naik (Palo Alto, Calif.), Avinash Lakshman (Fremont, Calif.) and Deepak Jain (Santa Clara, Calif.).
