ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,461,316, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to CommScope Technologies LLC (Hickory, N.C.).
"Fiber optic adapter conversion system" was invented by Marc De Mesmaeker (Leuven, Belgium), Neil Stewart Bird (Aarschot, Belgium) and Peter Stockmans (Aarschot, Belgium).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to enclosures, systems, methods, designs, and assemblies for converting (e.g., modifying, retrofitting, etc.) a first adapter mounting opening compatible with a first type of hardened fiber optic adapter to a second adapter mounting opening compatible with a second type of hardened fiber optic adapter."
