ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,413,820, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Comcast Cable Communications LLC (Philadelphia).
"Video delivery" was invented by Ross Gilson (Philadelphia) and Michael Chen (Wallingford, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates to a method of delivering a video frame. One implementation may involve spatially partitioning a video frame into a plurality of blocks, encoding at least one of the plurality of blocks of the video frame, and transmitting the at least one of the plurality of blocks of the video frame."
The patent was filed on June 2, 2023, under Application No. 18/327,933.
