US Patent Issued to Comcast Cable Communications on July 8 for "Carrier grouping in multicarrier wireless networks" (Virginia Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,356,404, issued on July 8, was assigned to Comcast Cable Communications LLC (Philadelphia).

"Carrier grouping in multicarrier wireless networks" was invented by Esmael Hejazi Dinan (McLean, Va.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. Cells may be grouped into a plurality of cell groups. A base station may transmit a control message to modify a cell group of a cell associated with a wireless device."

The patent was filed on Oct. 16, 2023, under Application No. 18/487,321.
