ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,363,386, issued on July 15, was assigned to Comcast Cable Communications LLC (Philadelphia).

"Content event messaging" was invented by Leslie Eugene Chipman (Rockville, Md.), Amit Bagga (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Jenny Jiang (Vienna, Va.), Anita Eradla (McLean, Va.) and Scot Zola (Scottsdale, Ariz.).
