ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,404,397, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to Columbia Insurance Co. (Omaha, Neb.).
"Polymer with low molecular weight portion and high glass transition temperature portion for early block resistance" was invented by Gianna Pastena (Flanders, N.J.), Yong Yang (Hillsborough, N.J.), Stefanie Iannacone (Sparta, N.J.) and Johanna L. Garcia (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Polymers including single-stage and multi-stage polymers that combine the properties of the structural integrity of a polymer with a high glass transition temperature (Tg) with a softer, lower molecular weight polymer that coalesces quickly and is flexible...
