ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,334, issued on March 25, was assigned to Colgate-Palmolive Co. (New York).
"Oral care compositions" was invented by Carl Myers (Wayne, N.J.) and Rehana Begum-Gafur (Clifton, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This application provides, among other things, novel aqueous oral care compositions useful for combining and delivering poorly compatible ingredients, for example to deliver effective levels of cationic antibacterial agents in combination with anionic polymers that protect against erosion and staining, by addition of a stabilizing amount of a polyamine, e.g., lysine, and methods for making and using the same."
