ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,376,606, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to ColdSnap Corp. (Billerica, Mass.).

"Providing single servings of cooled foods and drinks" was invented by Benjamin Fichera (Newburyport, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods have demonstrated the capability of rapidly cooling the contents of pods containing the ingredients for food and drinks."
