US Patent Issued to Cloud Produce on Feb. 25 for "Controller-operated vertical farming system using transportable modules" (Canadian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,232,459, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to Cloud Produce Inc. (Belmont, Calif.).

"Controller-operated vertical farming system using transportable modules" was invented by Philipp Hertel (Victoria, Canada) and Ian Mathieson (Victoria, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is a vertical farming system including a set of transportable farming modules, each module having a plurality of vertically arranged farming tiers. Each tier includes a distinct aqueous input, a distinct aqueous drain output, and a distinct aqueous overflow output."
