ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. PP36,741, issued on June 17, was assigned to CLEMSON UNIVERSITY (Clemson, S.C.).
"Peach tree named 'CaroRes Delight'" was invented by Ksenija Gasic (Clemson, S.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct peach tree (Prunus persica) denominated 'CaroRes Delight' can be distinguished by its firm melting yellow flesh, early ripening season, large size, attractive appearance, high red skin color, excellent fruit quality, good flavor, and fruit resistance to bacterial spot disease."
The patent was filed on June 10, 2024, under Application No. 18/738,378.
