US Patent Issued to Cisco Technology on May 27 for "Slotted absorber" (Chinese, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,317,465, issued on May 27, was assigned to Cisco Technology Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Slotted absorber" was invented by Jianquan Lou (Shanghai), Xiao Li (Milpitas, Calif.) and Alpesh U. Bhobe (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electromagnetic absorber includes a body arranged to surround a perimeter of an integrated circuit chip. The body is arranged to absorb electromagnetic radiation leaking from the integrated circuit chip. The body defines an aperture through which the integrated circuit chip extends and a plurality of slots positioned around the aperture."
