ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,481,642, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to CIRATA INC. (San Ramon, Calif.).

"Methods, devices and systems for real-time checking of data consistency in a distributed heterogenous storage system" was invented by Granville Lynn Barnett (Newtownabbey, Great Britain) and Yeturu Aahlad (Foster City, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "First replicated state machines may execute a sequence of ordered agreements to make mutations to data stored in a first data storage of a first type and second replicated state machines may execute the sequence of ordered agreements to make mutations to data stored in a second data storage of a second type. ...
