ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,260,846, issued on March 25, was assigned to Ciari Guitars Inc. (San Diego).
"Tremolo systems for foldable stringed instrument and related methods" was invented by Brent Rivard (Encinitas, Calif.) and Jonathan Spangler (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure describes multiple tremolo systems for a foldable stringed instrument, for example a travel guitar. According to certain aspects, the tremolo systems disclosed herein are mounted to an actuator used to tighten or loosen the strings to enable playing or folding. The foldable stringed instrument folds mid-neck to assume a reduced profile."
