ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,083, issued on July 15, was assigned to Chromatic Technologies Inc. (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
"Ultraviolet light stable color-changing systems" was invented by Ruizheng Wang (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Timothy J. Owen (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Qi Wang (Mt Pleasant, S.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are embodiments of (i) a novel stabilizer including a stable nitroxide free radical which can function as a light-stabilizer and/or a heat-stabilizer, and (ii) compositions including the stable nitroxide free radical."
The patent was filed on Jan. 31, 2022, under Application No. 17/589,111.
