ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,269,849, issued on April 8, was assigned to Children's Hospital & Research Center at Oakland (Oakland, Calif.).
"Factor H binding protein variants and methods of use thereof" was invented by Peter T. Beernink (Walnut Creek, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Variant factor H binding proteins that can elicit antibodies that are bactericidal for at least one strain of Neisseria meningitidis, compositions comprising such proteins, and methods of use of such proteins, are provided."
