ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,552,997, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (San Ramon, Calif.).

"Targeted disulfide reduction in petroleum matrices" was invented by Stephen J. Harley (Richmond, Calif.), Rachel Mohler (Richmond, Calif.), Peter Hillman (Pleasanton, Calif.) and Samin Sharifiasl (Oakland, Calif.).
