ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,744, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (San Ramon, Calif.).

"Molecular sieve boron SSZ-113" was invented by Stacey I. Zones (San Francisco) and Cong-Yan Chen (Kensington, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a novel synthetic crystalline borongermanosilicate molecular sieve material, designated boron SSZ-113. The boron SSZ-113 can be synthesized using 1,3 bis(2,3-dimethyl-1H-imidazolium) propane dications as a structure directing agent. The boron SSZ-113 may be used in organic compound conversion reactions and/or sorptive processes, and in particular, in reforming reactions."
