ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,282,015, issued on April 22, was assigned to Cerus Corp. (Concord, Calif.).

"Systems and methods for testing and screening using compound bound substrates" was invented by Anne North (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) and Naheed Mufti (Concord, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides compositions, methods, kits and systems for detecting antibodies in a biological sample. In some embodiments, methods/systems are particularly useful for detecting antibodies in patients against pathogen-inactivating compound treated RBCs."
