ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,367,981, issued on July 22, was assigned to Cerner Innovation Inc. (Kansas City, Mo.).

"Classifier apparatus with decision support tool" was invented by Douglas S. McNair (Leawood, Kan.).

A process includes applying clustering to variables contributing to the classification task.
