ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,293,245, issued on May 6, was assigned to Ceramic Data Solutions GmbH (Gmunden, Austria).

"Information storage method and information storage medium with increased storage density by multi-bit coding" was invented by Christian Pflaum (Bernried, Germany) and Martin Kunze (Gmunden, Austria).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a method for storage of information and to an information storage medium with increased storage density by multi-bit coding."
