ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,434,075, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Celestial Oncology Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.).
"Coupled robotic radiation therapy system" was invented by Jay Akio Yonemoto (Arcadia, Calif.) and Asheber Techane Wagshum (Granada Hills, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dual robot therapy system may be configured to provide a therapy beam (and/or an imaging beam) at each of multiple treatment beam angles that are selected from a much larger set of candidate beam angles than are possible with existing therapy delivery system."
The patent was filed on May 10, 2022, under Application No. 17/740,902.
