ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,409, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles).

"Cardiosphere-derived cells and exosomes secreted by such cells in the treatment of muscular dystrophy" was invented by Eduardo Marban (Santa Monica, Calif.) and Mark Amin Aminzadeh (Los Angeles).
