According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention pertains to a split ring assembly for adjusting the throughput of a fluid of a hydraulic valve comprising an elastomeric element being adapted to mount a split ring around a hydraulic ram, wherein the elastomeric element is arranged around the outward circumference of the split ring, wherein the throughput of the fluid is adjustable depending on the degree to which the throughput of hydraulic fluid i...
