ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,641, issued on May 13, was assigned to Cast Stonescapes LLC (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
"Cast stone corner hardscaping block" was invented by John E. Ravelli (Dorothy, N.J.), Eric Y. Long (Sewell, N.J.) and John M. Poignard (Ashville, N.Y.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hardscaping block includes a dry cast concrete backer block having angularly arranged contact surfaces and an integrated wet cast concrete veneer block chemically bonded to the contact surfaces, the veneer block having an exteriorly facing simulated stone surface. The integrated backer block and veneer block form a cast stone corner hardscaping block."
