ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,538,979, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to CASIO COMPUTER Co. LTD. (Tokyo).
"Music stand musical instrument" was invented by Otoya Sakai (Machida, Japan) and Takahiro Moriya (Kokubunji, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A music stand includes a plate having a through hole, a first member configured to be disposed on one side of a front surface or a back surface of the plate and having a projecting portion configured to pass through the through hole, and a second member configured to be disposed on another side of the front surface or the back surface of the plate and having a recessed portion corresponding to the projecting portion."
