ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,405,070, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to CARRIER Corp. (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.).

"Corrosion resistant microchannel heat exchanger" was invented by Matthew Patterson (East Syracuse, N.Y.) and Hani Nassar (Baldwinsville, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A heat exchanger includes a first manifold, aa second manifold, at least one heat exchange tube segment extending between and fluidly coupling the first manifold and the second manifold, and a fin having a non-linear configuration.
