ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,495,793, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to CARNAMEDICA SP. Z O.O. (Warsaw, Poland).

"Preservation of stem cells" was invented by Pawel Szczudlo (Warsaw, Poland) and Ilona Kalaszczynska (Warsaw, Poland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a field of stem cell preservation and in particular to use of an aqueous solution comprising polyethylene glycol (PEG) having a molecular weight about 35000 Da as an extracellular agent for preserving stem cells."

The patent was filed on Jan. 23, 2020, under Application No. 17/425,383.
