ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,462, issued on May 6, was assigned to CareFusion 303 Inc. (San Diego).
"Medical tubing having differing color states" was invented by Amit Uday Limaye (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Medical tubing can have a chromic material such that the medical tubing is configured to transition from a first state of color to a different, second state of color by application of a stimulus to the medical tubing."
The patent was filed on July 1, 2022, under Application No. 17/856,762.
