ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,421,176, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to Carbon Technology Holdings LLC (Oakdale, Minn.).
"Biochar as a microbial carrier" was invented by Richard Wilson Belcher (Oxnard, Calif.), Han Suk Kim (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Brian Buege (Centennial, Colo.), Mark L. Jarand (Rotorua, New Zealand), Michael C. Cheiky (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Ronald A. Sills (Houston).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a microbial delivery system where biochar acts as a carrier for microbes."
