ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,281,261, issued on April 22, was assigned to Carbon Lock Technologies Inc. (Winnipeg, Canada).
"Organic waste carbonization system" was invented by Kevin Wayne Danner (Winnipeg, Canada) and Terrance Darrell Gray (Winnipeg, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein is a method of carbonizing organic waste to produce a stable form of biocarbon for the purposes of carbon sequestration. In some embodiments, the method is a continuous method wherein organic waste is added at a top of a carbonization system and biocarbon is recovered from a bottom thereof."
The patent was filed on Dec. 31, 2021, under Application No. 18/259,534.
