ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,339, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Capsugel Belgium NV (Bornem, Belgium).
"Sealing fluid for sealing capsules" was invented by Stephanie Laurichesse (Illkirch-Graffenstaden, France) and Ljiljana Palangetic (Colmar, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention discloses a sealing fluid comprising an organic acid, an alcohol and optionally water, the organic acid is lactic acid or acetic acid, the alcohol is isopropanol or ethanol, the sealing fluid is a liquid composition for sealing telescopically joined hard capsules with coaxial partly overlapping body parts."
