US Patent Issued to Canyon Bicycles on May 13 for "Bicycle battery device" (German Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,909, issued on May 13, was assigned to Canyon Bicycles GmbH (Koblenz, Germany).

"Bicycle battery device" was invented by Moritz Stroer (Koblenz, Germany) and Philipp Muller (Nastatten, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bicycle battery device includes a bicycle frame tube such as a down tube. A battery is insertable in the longitudinal direction of the bicycle frame tube through a battery opening. An adjustment element is arranged between the battery and an inner contour of the bicycle frame tube to simplify the adjustment."

The patent was filed on Nov. 30, 2022, under Application No. 18/072,166.
