"Photoelectric conversion device" was invented by Hideo Kobayashi (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A photoelectric conversion device including: a pixel; a signal line to which a signal is output from the pixel; a capacitive element having a first terminal and a second terminal, the first terminal being connected to the signal line; and a first control line. A variable potential is applied to the second terminal due to a change in a potential of the first control line."
