ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,466,969, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).
"Aqueous ink, ink cartridge and ink jet recording method" was invented by Hirohiko Yuasa (Kanagawa, Japan), Daiji Okamura (Tokyo), Satoru Kobayashi (Kanagawa, Japan) and Saki Tasaki (Kanagawa, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An aqueous ink containing a pigment (C.I. Pigment Yellow 101) and a resin dispersant for the pigment. The resin dispersant has a unit with an aromatic group and a unit with an anionic group."
The patent was filed on March 21, 2023, under Application No. 18/187,491.
