US Patent Issued to Canon on May 6 for "Printing apparatus" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,024, issued on May 6, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).

"Printing apparatus" was invented by Kota Uchida (Kanagawa, Japan), Kohei Fukui (Tokyo), Yoshiaki Suzuki (Chiba, Japan), Takakazu Ohashi (Kanagawa, Japan) and Kengo Nieda (Kanagawa, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium in a conveyance direction, a printing unit, a plurality of rotary members arrayed in the direction intersecting a conveyance direction on a downstream side of the printing unit in the conveyance direction and configured to regulate a height position of the print medium from above...
