ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,587, issued on June 10, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).
"Optical element" was invented by Seiji Kuwabara (Tochigi, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is an optical element in which a metal layer with good adhesion is formed on a resin substrate. An optical element includes: a resin substrate; and a stacked body including a metal oxide layer provided on the resin substrate and a metal layer provided on the metal oxide layer. The metal oxide layer is a lanthanum oxide of ternary or more."
