ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,271,643, issued on April 8, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).

"Printing apparatus that transmits an advertising packet to an external apparatus, method for controlling printing apparatus, and recording medium" was invented by Tadahiro Nakamura (Yokohama, Japan).
