According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A line-of-sight detection device according to the present invention includes: a lens; an image sensor disposed on an edge of the lens; and a plurality of light sources disposed along the edge of the lens, wherein in a 360deg range around an optical axis of the lens, a number of light sources per degree is the maximum in a range on opposite side of the image sensor with respect to the optical axis of the lens."
