ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,324,800, issued on June 10, was assigned to CANNACLEAR INC. (Whistler, Canada).

"Lecithin vesicles" was invented by Alejandro Marangoni (Guelph, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Giant multi-lamellar vesicles (GMVs) comprising lecithin are provided which are about 3 to about 15 micro metre in size. Methods for preparing the GMVs, and for preparing large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs) from the GMVs, are provided, as well as methods for encapsulating cargo within the GMVs and LUVs. The present vesicles are useful for the oral delivery of encapsulated cargo."
