ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,427,497, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, Calif.).

"Adsorption of carbon dioxide from low concentration carbon dioxide content sources with mazzite zeolites" was invented by Donglong Fu (Pasadena, Calif.) and Mark E. Davis (Pasadena, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed to metal ion-containing zeolitic compositions having MAZ topology that are useful for scavenging CO2 from low-CO2-content feed streams, including air, and method of making and using the same."

The patent was filed on Feb. 6, 2023, under Application No. 18/165,043.
