ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,483,248, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Cadence Design Systems Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"LFPS pulse detection using unit interval adjustment based on average pulse width" was invented by Xiaoyang Liu (San Jose, Calif.), Ning Mi (San Jose, Calif.) and Claire Liyan Ying (Los Altos Hills, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various embodiments provide for verifying operation of a circuit design with respect to a data communication specification, such as a DisplayPort specification, with Low-Frequency Periodic Signaling (LFPS) pulse detection using unit interval adjustment based on an average pulse width of detected LFPS pulses."
